Most of the time in this Journey Called Life we get to make our own decisions. Some decisions are, naturally, easier than others, but at least we have free will to make those conscious choices. Some, however, are A Forced Decision.
There are times, however, that Fate, the Universe or the Divine decide for us into A Forced
Decision. These are the times where we don’t have a choice. You might be saying that no matter what, we always have a choice, but think about it – sometimes, you just don’t.
When you’re at a difficult fork in the road, you can either go left or go right. Yes, you have a choice, but there are other factors that will always and forever weigh on your mind and heart. Those factors could be ethically driven, spiritually influenced, moral encompassed, a health deterrent or simply the Angel/Devil scenario of right and wrong. Taking into account all of your factors towards a potential life-altering choice, you are sometimes only left with A Forced Decision.
Being forced into something isn’t always easy, but it’s occasionally necessary. The forced decision will no doubt weigh on your mind and heart until Time does its healing of the inevitable pain.
It will also, quite bluntly, suck because it might be something you don’t WANT to do, but something you HAVE to do. And that kind of decision is never easy. It will suck and it will hurt. But as the saying goes, God has a plan (if you believe in God)… Or you just have to believe in Fate (if you believe in Fate). If for nothing else, that’s just life sometimes – your Journey Called Life. You get thrown into situations that you have no control over and you just have to roll with the punches and accept your Fate.
One thing is for sure – no one ever said Life was easy – it’s not. Life sucks sometimes. But Life always has a way of working itself out too. So if you ever find yourself in a situation where you are pushed into A Forced Decision – have faith that it all happens for a reason and everything will work itself out. Keep your faith and Embrace this Journey Called Life.

A Forced Decision
In the beginning, it all seemed easy and all was fine,
I went with the flow – the choice was all mine.
Sure there were tough times and sad ones too,
But it all felt so good and felt so new.
Memories were made and may eventually be forgotten,
Feelings in my heart will remain from now ‘til then.
It’s not necessarily the moments we all have shared,
It’s the impact our hearts together declared.
Unforeseen circumstances and undeniable forces,
Give us no choice – give us teachable life courses.
With no warning, the heart bursts into pieces,
The ache, pain and despair never ceases.
There’s nothing we can do – there is no other vision,
For it wasn’t ours to make – this was a forced decision.
Now it’s the end, it’s just not the same. Then entered The Divine,
Reluctantly moving forward – the choice is no longer mine.

With every year that passes truth becomes often increasingly bitter. So true your thoughts and spoken words of the choices we never get to make but must endure.
It does get tougher as the years pass by us. I guess our only choice at that point is to become tougher right along with it. Plus, hopefully for most, we gain wisdom the older we get… helping us deal with those tough decisions.
