The clouds roll in like thick plumes of locomotive smoke. Rain droplets the size of ping-pong balls begin to fall from the blackening sky. A funnel forms and drops to earth uprooting everything within its path. It’s a Twister, It’s a Twister!
The storm lasts for months and it takes months to clean up the wreckage.
I know it’s been awhile (exactly 8 months), but a metaphorical Twister hit my life. It sucked up everything in its journey (yes, even unfavorable life events have their own journey).
I took a mental sabbatical from my blog while I slowly picked up the pieces and placed them back where they belonged. It was a long ass process, which I’m still working on.
Sometimes in life, you just need a break to readjust and reconfigure the fractured pieces of your life – no matter how long it takes.
Only when fragments are pieced back together, one can continue their life in a way they remember – only better.
The Twister in your life makes you stronger. Even though you feel weak and helpless during destruction, you push through and come out on top only to find the comforts of home in your heart.
Because let’s face it, there’s no place like home. Right, Dorothy?
In retrospect, blogging should have been a priority, but that’s not the journey Fate wanted me to take. Fate wanted me to go at my pace as I eased back into my normalcy of life. As I write I am more geared up than ever and especially excited to finally get my Life Coaching & Counseling Sessions up and running!
Wonderful things are coming and in the words of Glinda, “She had to learn it for herself.”
And I urge you to take your time to find your so-called home. Click your slippers, take a break, meditate, veg out or find what it takes for you to continue your Journey Called Life peacefully.
